The Impact of the Balancing Act

With the recent death of Kate Spade, famous fashion designer and businesswoman, it’s hard to deny the fact that having great wealth, success, and fame does not guarantee happiness to any degree.

According to data gathered by the federal Centers for Disease Control, the U.S. Suicide rate is up 30% since the beginning of the 21st Century.  Although mental health conditions are often viewed as the cause of suicide, more than half of people who died by suicide (54%) did not have a known mental health condition.  Some common risk factors such as problems related to relationships, physical health, substance use, and money, legal, job, or housing stress often contribute to suicide, however, there is rarely a single cause.

Reevaluating what it means to gain and continue a work-life balance.
